7th Grade Science with Mr. White

I've been teaching for 25 years at  the college, high school and middle school levels.  This will be my 6th year at Anwatin.

In those 6 years I have been instrumental in building Anwatin's Community Garden which has provided outdoor experiences and continues to provide outdoor experiences for all Anwatin students.

As part of that same effort to expose our students to as much of the natural world as possible, I run several aquariums and terrarriums maintaining pond life, amphibians, turtles, snakes, and fish allowing students instant access to living creatures.

Two years ago, while drawing connections between the garden and aquariums, I built an aquaponics system for students to observe the many different biological and physical science topics that can be taught while growing out protein (Tilapia) and greens.   Come on by and check it out!
