Anwatin Receives Gift From Prince Friends
Thursday, June 07, 2018 10:30 PM

Thursday, June 7th will be a day Anwatin students and band teacher Ed Barlow remember forever.  Manuela Testolini, through her foundation, In a Perfect World, donated a variety of musical instruments and equipment in honor of Minnesota music legend Prince to Anwatin Middle School.  Childhood friend of Prince and Minneapolis native, Andre Cymone, along with many of Prince's technical crew visited with Anwatin students on Thursday to share the surprise new music classroom that will foster many new generations of musical talent.  The Anwatin community is grateful to receive this special gift and is excited for the new opportunities that it will provide to its already robust music exploration and band course offerings.  Check out the full story on WCCO-TV
