Quick facts about Anwatin's Media Center
- The Anwatin Media Center holds over 12,000 fiction, nonfiction, biography, graphic novel, and reference titles in four languages.
- Our Media Center contains materials about a wide variety of diverse subjects such as; regional and national Native American history, African American history, contemporary Latinx perspectives, LGBTQ+/Queer history, and much more.
- Anwatin also has a Free Library in the ‘Nest’, which is located at the front of the school, where students can donate and take books at their leisure for reading.
Our Mission: The mission of the Anwatin Library Media Program is to foster life-long readers and effective users of information who engage in creative thinking, collaboration, responsible problem-solving, and develop an appreciation of diverse literature in order to promote tolerance in our global community
Meet Mr. Harris
Mr. Harris operates the media center and welcomes all questions from students or parents. He attended DePauw University (IN) and the University of Minnesota Twin-Cities and studied Music, Cultural Studies, and Comparative Literature. After attending college, Mr. Harris started working for metro area public schools. He also teaches piano and saxophone lessons.
Mr. Harris joined Anwatin as our Media Center Associate Educator in August of 2018. Welcome, Mr. Harris!
