Bus Passes

If your student wishes to take a bus to a friend or family member’s house, they will require a special bus pass and should arrange it with Mr. Danny one day in advance.  If riding with a friend from school, authorization from a parent or guardian of each student is required. you must have a special bus pass, thi isesy to do, but must to be done vivit Students requesting or needing a bus pass to exit their bus anyplace other than their assigned stop need to ask the main office for a bus pass – preferably one day before.  Requests made after 12:00 are not guaranteed for same day changes.  Students requesting or needing a one day pass to ride a different bus than their own need to request a bus bass from the main office.  These requests need to be verified by a note from home or by a phone call from a caregiver.  In the event that a student is riding home with another Anwatin student BOTH families need to provide verification of the bus pass request.   Requestmade after 12:00 are not guaranteed for same day changes.  Overfull busses can not accommodate additional students and bus passes can not be guaranteed for over full busses.

We are excited to welcome all families to the new school year. We are ready to provide a safe and nurturing environment to our students. Our main priority, as educators and schools staff, is the safety and social well-being of our students.

During the first week of school and throughout the year, teachers and school staff will be developing trusting relationship with their students and families. We will be alert and vigilant about our students’ attendance and overall engagement. MPS staff will practice cultural humility and focus on learning from students and families about their interests and immediate needs.

Please be assured that MPS and our school does not collect or keep citizenship and immigration status information or enforce immigration laws, so we cannot and will not provide information to any government agencies. The U.S. Supreme Court has established that public schools must be accessible to all children regardless of immigration status. We want and welcome all our students. Please contact the school principal, Ellen Shulman, if you have any questions.
